This policy explains what My Gear Works (“we”, “us”, at mygearworks.pages.dev) does and does not do with information when you use the site. The short version: the tools run in your browser and your files never reach us; the site shows ads from Google, which uses cookies as described below.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for accounts, names or email addresses. Microphone audio, camera video, keystrokes, controller input and touch events are processed in your browser and never transmitted. The connection check sends a few tiny requests to this site’s own edge network to time them; those requests carry no personal data beyond what any page load does.
What is stored on your device
The site may remember small preferences, such as your ruler calibration or the last colour you chose. This information stays in your browser (local storage and a cache used to make the site work offline). We cannot read it. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings or by using the “Clear” buttons where offered.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, our hosting provider’s service, to count page views and measure performance. It does not use cookies or fingerprinting and does not build profiles of individual visitors.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (and similar technologies such as device identifiers) to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

- You can also opt out of many third-party vendors’ personalised advertising at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU).

Other advertising vendors may also place cookies on your device. We do not control those cookies; each vendor’s privacy policy governs its use.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a consent message provided through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. You can decline, or change your choice later, and you will still see ads that are not personalised. Under the GDPR/UK GDPR you have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection over personal data held about you. We hold no personal data ourselves beyond ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider; for data Google collects through its advertising services, Google is the responsible party and you can exercise your rights with Google. California and other US states
We do not sell personal information and we do not collect personal information through the tools. Advertising provided by Google may involve “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law (CCPA/CPRA). You can opt out through Google Ads Settings or by turning on a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.
Children
My Gear Works is a general-audience tool site and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email hello@defluffed.com and we will help.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because your files are processed on your device and not sent to us, there is nothing of yours on our servers to expose.
Links to other sites
We link to official government and other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated policy.
